Mission & Bio

“My intention in every massage and yoga session is to provide you with time away from the stress of life and physical pain, an increased awareness of your body, and an opportunity to re-connect with the peace that exists from within.”

My interest in the healing arts began almost twenty years ago when I discovered the power of therapeutic touch while giving a massage to a friend struggling with cancer.  Witnessing the benefits of massage first hand and hearing her positive feedback of my work planted a seed that would one day shape my career and my life’s path.

After several years of working in public relations for a national magazine, I decided to nurture that seed and transition onto a path that connected with my personal values and my desire to help others.  In 2004, I attended the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, New York and received my certification and license in massage therapy.  The training ignited a vigor and excitement of mind-body healing and shaped a new, blossoming career for me.

In 2008, after 14 years of a private yoga practice, I decided to expand my knowledge and expertise in health and attended yoga school at the Laughing Lotus Yoga College in San Francisco.  Upon completing the 200-hour yoga training program, I received my certification through the Yoga Alliance.  Currently, I teach yoga at several locations in Brooklyn, NY and offer private sessions to share my passion for yoga and to nurture the healing & growth of my clients.
